JEE Main 2027
Registration opens around October–November. Everything below is from NTA's own bulletin, and says plainly what has not been announced yet.
Free JEE Main preparation, built only from official sources
JEE Main is the entrance examination for admission to the NITs, IIITs and Government Funded Technical Institutions, and the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. It is conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency as a computer-based test, and the better of your two NTA scores is the one that counts. JEEPrep exists to let you prepare against what the exam has actually asked, rather than against someone's impression of it.
Every question here comes from a real paper. We transcribed 3429 questions from 43 JEE Main papers held between 2024 and 2026, working from NTA's own published question paper PDFs, and matched 3414 of them to NTA's final answer key — the one issued after the challenge window closes, not the provisional key. Mathematics is typeset properly, so a question about a limit or an integral reads the way it did in the exam hall.
The same principle governs the admission data. Our college predictor and cutoff pages are built on 2,57,187 opening and closing rank recordstaken directly from the Joint Seat Allocation Authority's official reports, covering 140 institutes across four years of counselling and every round, category, quota and gender pool. Nothing is modelled. When a figure cannot be traced to a primary source, the page says so plainly instead of filling the gap.
What you can do here: sit any past paper as a full-length mock test in an interface that matches the real NTA CBT, browse previous year questions by paper and subject, drill a single chapter by weightage using the official NTA syllabus, check the qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced, and read the exam information for dates, eligibility and the application process. All of it free, with no sign-up needed to begin.
Frequently asked questions
- Is JEEPrep free?
- Yes, entirely. All 3429 questions, all 43 papers, the mock tests and the college predictor are free to use, with no paywall and no sign-up required to start.
- Are the questions and answers official?
- Every question is transcribed from the National Testing Agency's own question paper PDFs, and 3414 of them carry NTA's final answer key — not a coaching-centre solution. Where a question's diagram has not been reproduced, or a figure could not be recovered from the source, the page says so rather than leaving you guessing.
- How many JEE Main previous year papers are available?
- 43 full papers, spanning 2024 to 2026. Each one is browsable by subject, or can be attempted as a timed full-length mock test in the NTA computer-based test interface.
- Can I take a full-length JEE Main mock test online free?
- Yes. Any past paper can be sat as a three-hour mock in an interface matching the real NTA CBT — the same question palette, +4/−1 marking, and a server-side timer that survives a refresh or a dropped connection. You are scored against the official answer key the moment you submit, with a subject-wise breakdown.
- How is this college predictor different from others?
- It does not predict. It filters 2,57,187 real JoSAA seat-allotment records to show which branches at which of 140 institutes actually closed at a rank worse than yours, in the most recent completed counselling. Percentile is converted to rank using NTA's own definition. We deliberately publish no marks-versus-percentile table, because NTA normalises across shifts and has never released the score distribution — any such figure is a guess.
- Does JEEPrep cover JEE Advanced?
- Not yet. The question bank and mock tests are JEE Main only. IIT closing ranks are included in the cutoff data because people search for them, but they are clearly labelled as JEE Advanced ranks, which are not comparable with JEE Main ranks.
