Don't confuse the two
Clearing the qualifying percentile only makes you eligible to write JEE Advanced. It has nothing to do with getting an NIT seat. NIT, IIIT and GFTI admission runs on your JEE Main rank against the closing ranks on the left — a candidate can clear the qualifying percentile comfortably and still not get a seat, and vice versa.
